Water resistant to 3657 meters

The water resistance of your timepiece depends both on the construction of the watch and the proper use of its functions. All our timepieces are hewn out of solid stainless steel and are submitted to a lengthy process of quality controls before leaving our premises.

The gaskets between case and caseback, crystal and case and those protecting both crown and pushers have to endure tremendous pressure when diving – at a depth of a mere 10 meters the pressure per cm2 already amounts to 10kg!

These gaskets or seals harden over time or may be damaged when replacing the battery of an electro-mechanical watch. Timepieces for Professionals – like our CX SWISS MILITARY WATCH™ - should therefore be serviced and checked for their water resistance every few years. Only accredited watchmakers should be entrusted with this. Do ensure that whenever the battery of your quartz timepiece is changed the gasket of the caseback is replaced, too.

Do check if your timepiece has a screw-down crown (and pushers, as in some chronograph models); if so, ensure both crown and pushers – where applicable – have been securely screwed in again before wearing your watch as otherwise it will not be water resistant.
