What can you use the tachymeter scale for which is printed on the dial or bezel of some of our models?

A

A tachymeter is an instrument for measuring speed, used in combination with a chronograph timepiece: the tachymeter scale indicates the speed in km/h based on a known distance of 1000 meters. Example: when driving on the highway, ask one passenger to stop the time it takes to cover 1000 meters (there usually are signs on highways every 1km); the central second hand – when stopped – will indicate the speed on the tachymeter scale
